Mac Os 10.3.9 Mail Account Problem

I changed my domain hosting to godaddy.com. I fill in the account settings correctly and I can receive mail for a while but then it can no longer connect to the mail server. If I delete the account (first moving the mail to another folder so I don't lose it), quit mail, restart the computer, and then recreate the account, I can get mail . . . but then it stops working again. My godaddy web mail works fine and my two qwest.net accounts work fine. Godaddy is scratching his head and has no solution.

I'm not super technical but I often know more than the tech support people who have to read from their manuals for mac.
