Hello, I have done my best research, and can't figure out why the Mac OSX upgrade installation to Tiger keeps freezing while in the verification stage. It stays at about 2% and finally says there was an error installing the updater. Any advice please?
Its a g4 powerbook, 2003 model 15" with the superdrive.
The installer is on a CD
It currently has 10.3.9
It has more than 7GB space free
I have 1 GB RAM, and have tried removing my 3rd party RAM (leaving me with 512MB RAM) , but still no go.
I have tried Easy Install and Archive & Install
The beginning of the Installation process confirms that Installation can take place.
The DVD check checks out
I have tried 4 or 5 times and it always freezes at the same point while verifying (kind of in the beginning of the actuall installation process.
I have tried using Xpost Facto to no avail.
Thanks so much for your help,
Michael
