hi everyone!
i am thinking to change OS from windows to Mac.
i d like to learn about the applications Mac OS comes with, especially
if comes with an office application.

Hi Dim,

Here a short list of applications OS X 10.5 comes with http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/
If you are looking for somehting that is not bundled with it, www.versiontracker.com/macosx is your friend for searching applications. :) it also lists which are freeware, how happy the users are and so on. Search for anything you need and you'll find it.
If you get a Mac it comes with Mac OS X and some additional software. Many have for instance iWork, so Pages, Numbers etc, an own version of office suite. There are also many other alternatives - I'd go for NeoOffice instead of Microsoft office, mostly because it's free (not eye candy but it works and does the job). What a specific mac comes with will be listed on www.apple.com/themodelname (what ever you consider getting). Which ones are you thinking of?

iLife is free with new Macs. The installation of iWork that is bundled with new Macs is in demo mode. The user must pay the license fee to use Pages, Keynote, and Numbers beyond the 30-day trial period. Text Edit can read and write Word files. It is free.
