Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update problem

I downloaded the 10.5.3 update through Software Update and when it finished downloading my mac restarted and started the installer, it then said Configuring Installing and it has been hanging there for the past half hour, what should I do?

Nevermind fixed the problem, just had to restart it, sorry for double posting

I have got a same problem. Unfortunately, when I restart my laptop, the Update isn't setup ! If I restart the installing, it'll block again.
What should I do ?


I have got : Macbook intel, 10.5.2,
I use Mail with Gmail, iChat...

Try repairing the permissions. Finder/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

Failing that try installing the Combo update available from the Apple website rather than the Software update.

I've repaired the permissions, after that I've installed the update available from the Apple website (no Software update).
Now, the update is working on my laptop.
