One of my computers was in the process of downloading a program from the internet when it seemed to Stall and then Crash. Now I cannot start up my computer at all...it just flashes the dreaded ? mark and will not start. I have tried many things including booting from the OS X.2 installation disk but when I do it does not find any hard drive on my system....Help me please.

Thank you very much in advance,
John

Unknown:
Model of Mac currently not booting.
Types, models, and OS'es of the 'other' computers.
What was being downloaded, and from what web site.
The '... many things ...' tried.

Did you try Single User mode?
Actually, use 'fsck -fy' in place of 'fsck -y', and you can enter 'reboot' in place of 'Reboot'.

The computer is a G4 tower with dual gigahertz processors and 1.5 gigs of ram. It came loaded with OS 9.2... The download was a poker game and as I was not the site is unknown to me at this time.

Thank You,
John
