Hi,
I just had to reinstall my Mac x 10.2.6software. I also partioned the disk into software/programs and documents) and now I am experiencing problems with my USB Speed Touch Modem connection from BT which I installed on the software/programs disk that also contains the operating system. As soon as I install the modem driver provided by BT, set up my account, it all works fine but as soon as I shut down my mac and restart it again the modem driver has disappeared. There is still the green lights of the modem that is flashing but the driver itself is not working. In the system preferences only build-in-ethernet and internel modem as well as network port config. are checked. I cannot check USB Speed Touch Modem again and in order to get connected again I have to reinstall the modem driver again and install it and then it works.
I spoke with BT help we tried a lot but it did not help.
I also updated my software but no changes.
Any ideas what to do? Would a new modem help? I mean a non BT one?
Please help me I really need to get my connection back on track.
Thanks.
Alex
