Has anyone been successful in getting the
ATI XCLAIM VR 128 card to work with an older
"non Apple G3" machine and Mac OS X? I tried
to use the card when installing Mac OS X
and the screen was blank. Maybe it was the
PCI slot I was using (seems like someone on
the web mentioned that he was using this same
card and it works in lower or upper? PCI slot).
Apple PowerMac 7300/XLR8 MACH G3 350MHZ ON ZIF SOCKET
SCSI 0 - IBM 5400 RPM SCSI DRIVE
SCSI 1 - SEAGATE 7200 RPM BARRACUDE SCSI DRIVE
external ZIP (does not seem to work either when connected)
192 MB of memory
Otherwise, I have been able to install and run
Mac OS X with no problem using the built-in
video (sound does not work though).
It would be nice if I could get this card to work
with Mac OS X, since it is so graphically intensive!
Thanks for any help,
