Yeah, it's a bit different on a mac. Right now is a good time to get a cheap dual proc. G4 (they have really dropped in prices since the G5 was introduced). if you are looking for single processorcomputers i would say that anything above 800 mhz and with a good amount of ram (512+) would be more than enough. That was the requirements for Halo (wich is fairly new). Office and photoshop will be quick on a machine like that.
