Mac OSX 10.6 printer issue

Hello everyone,

I was wondering is there a way to setup a shared printer on a Mac osx server so that when a person prints, he or she has to type in a password to release the job. or I want to set permissions on the mac printer so certain people can print to it. thanks!
 
I don't know about server. Under plain old OSX, open System Preferences, then Sharing on the Internet & Wireless line. Click on the Printer Sharing line. Select a printer under Printers: and under Users:, select the privileged ones.

If you really need server advice, ask on that forum.
 
Hi Guys

I have a problem with my Airbook. i installed snow leopard in my machine and I'm havin problems with printing on a Canon ir2380, I managed to get the mac to communicate with the printer but when i print a document it prints an error "error -50" on the page and I have no idea what it means, anyone who can help with this problem i would really appreciate it guys.
