I usually don't turn off my mac and I turned it off yesterday.
Now when it turns on, at the gray screen, it goes straight to please restart thing.

I have a Mac mini (not intel based)
I've tried resetting PRAM orwtver, but it doesn work

Any tips?

Thanks for the reply, but the problem persists.
mine's OS 10.3.9. I tried fcks mode or verbose mode, it says "panic: we are hanging here..." and I can't type anything.
When I tried disk utility on the installation disk, the disk cannot be repaired because of an error.
Are there any other tips?

This hapens more often with harddisk having problems in the startup sequence. When the computer is rebooted only once in a long while, it seems the system is perfect, while it may not be so. Happened to me with a computer was rebooted after a power failure, with a bad harddisk. Had been turned on for about 18 months before.

Good luck, Kees
