Mac + Telewest: Good or Bad?

I'm about to choose a broadband service and since I already use
Telewest's phone service I'm thinking of buying theirs.

I'm aware that Telewest use a USB router as opposed to an ethernet router that is better suited to the Mac.

Does anyone use a Mac with a Telewest BB service and what configuration
(i.e. router make/type etc) do you use? Also, is it a problem free service and would you recommend it?

Other alternatives suggested would be useful.

I have Telewest 1MB broadband set up without a router. I use one of their webstar modems directly linked to my mac via ethernet and it works great. While I've been with them I've had no problems at all with around 99% uptime. However their self diagnostic support app, last time I checked, didn't work with macs but you really won't need that anyway unless your on a pc. Basically with my setup it was just 'plug and play' shove the ethernet cable in the back of your mac and start using the internet.

I'd definitely recommend them.
