Hello,i purchased a mini-dvi to s-video adapter from Dynex,for my Macbook black.
I am trying to get my sony bravia 46" lcd to get the video signal.
The adapter has both,and s-video ,and video(yellow rca-style)output.
I get nothing but crzy blk/gry flicker and static. when i connect it to either input on the tv.Please some one help me!
 
Try changing the refresh rate, either on the Mac or on the TV.

If your TV supports "overscan," turn that off as well. You may need to refer to the TV's instruction manual to find out if and how to do this.
