I have a MacBook which I often use with an external monitor and keyboard. I've purchased the new "iMac style" keyboard (wired version).
I did download the keyboard update from Apple.
I find that the function keys, etc. are not correct. For instance, on the external keyboard, f10-12 are the sound controls. On the MacBook, f3-5 are the sound controls.
F8 is supposed to launch Spaces (I'm using Leopard), and it does it I press f8 on the MacBook, but not if I press it on the external keyboard.
I went into System Prefs and Keyboard, and selected "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys", and that allows me to use F8 to run Spaces, but the sound keys still don't work.
Anyway advice?
