macbook password

i have a macbook and my child change password and cant access computer. after starting it says to access this computer,you need to enter your password. how can i get it started?
 
When you look at SGilbert's link go to that thread's page 3 of the thread and use g/re/p's hint. That one should still work.
 
Also make sure your child does not use your account, or an admin account. That way there's no accidental password changes or other accidental user-caused damage on the system.
A child needs a moderated account with possibly some parental controls on.
