Macbook pro Closed with Dual monitor

Hello

i would like to know is it possible to have my MBP lid closed and use two additional monitors as my main?

will there be any heat issue on the MBP ( keep in mind i will be using it for many hours to design/code )

and what good monitors do you recommend to buy ( i will be buying two of the same brand )
 
1) Not without purchasing additional hardware like this:

Otherwise, you're limited to one external display.

2) Shouldn't be any heat issues as long as your fans are clean and work properly.

3) I like Acer-branded monitors, as well as Samsung. Of course, the ultimate is my 24" Apple LED display, but it's quite pricey. Newegg.com always has some good deals/pricing on monitors.
