macbook pro problem

i have a 15 inch macbook pro 2.16 core duo, When i tried to start it today i can hear the HD start, it goes for about 10-15 seconds then shuts down, Thinking it may be the Hd i replaced it with a new one and same problem, any one have any ideas that i can try. ( i am fairly new to mac) If it is the board can I replace it with the board from a 17 inch model? Thanks
 
No, the logic boards for the 15" and 17" models are a different size and shape. If you want to replace the logic board, it would have to be from an identical model.
 
Thanks, I will have to order one then, I cannot seem to find anything else wrong that would cause this problem
