macbook pro SCREEN ISSUES! HELP!

I purchased my macbook pro unibody at the end of 2008 and I have had loads of issues with it. I love apple and i'm pretty sure that the computer I purchased is just a lemon but about a year ago I started having issues with the screen. Whenever the computer is on, the screen does this glowing red thing. Depending on the angle the macbook is open at all of the blacks on the screen start glowing red. At first this was a manageable problem because i could usually find the perfect angle to where the screen would be fine. however recently the screen is ALWAYS glowing red wherever there is a black shade no matter how i adjust the angle of the screen. I am a photographer and it is critical that i see all my colors as accurately as possible on photoshop. I was a complete IDIOT for not purchasing the extended care package and aside from sending it to Apple and letting them go to town on the hardware i have no idea what to do. A new screen would cost me nearly 900 dollars so i am hoping that someone out there is having the same problem I am. Someone please help!

Sounds as if your video card or screen assembly is going out. It won't be a cheap fix either way. Best thing to do is take it to an Apple store or repair tech and have them run diagnostics to see what the problem is.There is a myriad of issues that would cause this so it is best to let a pro look at it.

Depending on what graphics chip you have, it MAY be covered by an Apple extended warranty. They did have a bad batch about then. Have it diagnosed before you panic; then look at the possibilities.
