MacBook Pro Will Not Boot

My MacBook Pro will not boot. A gray screen appears with the apple logo and the "spinning wheel" and it just remains on this screen. Can anyone help?

Try the steps in the apple document Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck and see if any help. Good Luck.

I tried the Disk Utility with no luck. There was a minor issue that it fixed but I still cannot make it past he gray screen. I am unable to startup in safe mode or single user mode.

This means the drive is dead so replace it.
