I have an early 2008 MBP, I think the last non-unibody version. Few days ago the computer stopped going to sleep when the lid was closed. Instead, the screen goes off and the computer stops responding (also, the light in front should be blinking when asleep and it's constantly on). It happens every single time it tries to sleep - either when I close the lid or when I select "sleep" from the menu.
I've tried all the tricks I found on various forums - resetting PRAM and PMU, removing /var/vm/ sleep files, playing with the ethernet status... I've also reinstalled Leopard and since it didn't help I formatted my HD and set it up from scratch and it still won't sleep - doesn't matter whether it's 10.5 or 10.5.7.
Anything else I can do?
Thanks a lot!
