macbook sharing

Hi all,

I have two macbooks: a 2ghz, 13in about 7 months old, and a 15 in 2.2ghz about 1.5 yrs old. Both are latest leopard (10.5.8), software, etc....

When I try to share itunes and iphoto, the 15" shows up on the 13" under the 'shared', but not vice versa -the 13" doesn't show on the 15" under the 'shared' The same is the case when I enable file sharing.

I've set my firewall on both computers to "set access for specific servives and applications", and "Allow incoming connections' is selected. Itunes and iphoto are listed in this on both computers. Setting to "Allow al incoming connections" changes nothing.

Any advice? I'm at a loss...

Thanks in advance,

it is. Although that doesn't need to be enabled for home-sharing itunes and iphoto,as I understand it.

Thanks so much,

j

When you highlight File Sharing via System Preferences and click on options, are both computers using the same protocol i.e. "Sharing files and folders using AFP"?
