You liked SCSI? What did you like about it — the thick cables with enormous connectors? The lack of plug-and-play support? The 7-devices-per-chain limit? The required termination? The required device number order?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of SCSI. [/understatement]

SCSI was kind of a black art: there was a satisfaction to be gained from getting a SCSI chain to work well. All this, of course, at a time when the PC-wallahs could only connect 1 serial device and 1 parallel device to their computers.
