I have "Keyboard Maestro" software running on OS X.

I want to be able to switch the number of colors in the display to 256, and then switch back to the 'millions of colors' setting at the press of a button, perhaps using a macro. Why? Because I have a very old game that runs in Classic mode and requires the screen display to be set at 256 colors. It's a bit of hassle to manually change the display every time I want to play the game.
System Preferences>Displays>Colors
Can someone tell me if this is possible, and if so how to do it. Thanks.
