I'm running OS 10.4.6 and Mail 2.0.7. In previous versions of Mail, the "new mail" sound was disabled for messages that the app automatically detected as Junk and sent to the Junk mailbox.
In other words, when the app checked for new e-mail, and collected only Junk, it wouldn't bother you with a "new mail" sound.
This latest version seems to lack this feature, and I can't find any way to specify it as a custom rule. I'm continually hearing the "new mail" sound, only to realize that I've just got more spam.
Is anyone else annoyed by this? Anyone have a solution?
