I've got a very strange problem.
My mail was fine. I have 3 accounts and they were receiving mail and indexing mail the way they should. I then received the 10.4.8 update and 1 of my accounts got all screwed up.
I first noticed a problem when mail would let off a sound letting me know I had mail. Once I clicked on the new message it would disappear. That went on for about a day. Then everything seemed fine, I got mail, could read it, so I closed mail for the day. Then the next time I opened my mailbox all the mail from the one account was gone.
I rebuilt the mailbox and everything is working, but I'm missing about 6 messages which were rather crucial.
I'm using a pop account and I have mail set to remove messages from the server if the messages are removed from the inbox. I checked my webmail for the account and those messages are gone so I'm assuming they have been removed. But where?
