Hi,
I've been trying to set up a new email account using apple mail Version 2.1.3 (753.1) using mac osx version 10.4.11. My out going mail server is Sky. However,it is not a sky email address and i'm having real problems getting it to work. The account has been set up and i can recieve email but not send email. When i try to send an email i get the following message.
The server response was: 5.5.1 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=14257 m1sm234882ugc.9
or
The SMTP server smtp.tools.sky.com rejected the password for user Blah blah
Please re-enter your password, or cancel.
I did this and clicked on ok but that box just reappears. I know that the password is correct.
Can you please advise asap, i'm getting fed up now!
