is it possible to get people i send emails to automagically added to address book? it drives me crazy to manually add them.
 
wow. sometimes i learn something new, but i don't feel any smarter. i just found out what command + y does.

but still, if you have an easier way...
 
command +y in mail adds the sender of the message you are looking at to your address book. it still requires manual intervention, but it'll do.
 
new beef. i sync up my address book with my phone. my phone has mostly just phone numbers associated with the names. it now makes 2 entries in the address book if there is already one there.

for example "john doe" has an entry with work email = "john@mail.com". on my phone i have john's phone number. i sync them. address book now has 2 listings for john doe. one with the email and one with the phone number.

how can i merge these easily? i have a lot of these occurances.
