Mail.app mangling incoming attachments

Hi All

I have a couple of interesting, but very annoying, problems with receiving mail from windows (Outlook/AOL/Netscape Communicator) users. Very often Maill.app will receive a mail with no header information but complete body text (no attachments) or if an attachment should be present, I get nothing but headers in the body. Using thunderbird I can retreive the problematic mails no problem. Below is an example of the way Mail.app is mangling my incoming mails. Interestingly enough - Mail.app does show who the sender is in the mailfolder, but the message itself does not show any header info at all - just the following in the body (minus the begin and end statements I've used)

On other occasions I have received just half a mail; body text but above type of information on a single line detailing the attachment, no message header; and no header or body text at all!

I'm using Tiger 10.4.2 on a G4 Powerbook. I do hope someone can shed some light on this. I've just gone back to using Mail.app as the growl notifications are a killer feature for me

Thanks all
