Mail.app - moved message to Inbox - where'd it go?

I just started using Mail (instead of Entourage). I have two inbox folders within my main inbox (one for each of my two mail accounts). I dragged a message to the larger enclosing "Inbox" folder, and it's gone! Other messages dragged to one of the enclosed Inbox folders show up just fine. Where did my message go, and is there any way to get it back?

Ah - figured it out. The message disappears from the source mailbox and when I look at the Inbox, it isn't there. But, when I go back to the source mailbox, it's still there - so it didn't really move, only appeared to. Silly - it should "bounce back" if not allowed. Anyway, no lost mail so I'm happy,

In mail there is a sure way to move a message. Click once on it, then go to the Message menu>Transfer>select your mail box.
Drag & drop is cool, but to make sure the message goes where you want, use the menu.
I have noticed that sometimes Mail does not respond to what I want it to do. That's when I have to quit, then launch again. Everything works then.

Yeah, I know about Transfer. I have to say that after using Entourage it's pretty clunky. Entourage has a "Move" menu that keeps the past 20 or so destination mail folders sorted in order of recent access. Much handier than having to go allllll the way dowwwwwn the Transfer command's directory tree, which in my case is probably more than 100 folders.

Incidentally, ever try to Transfer a message, and all/most of your destination folders are grayed out?

Yep, and when that happens, I quit, the open it. All is well then.
