MAIL application

I installed the update 10.1 and honestly I love it!
I llike the new mail application and its functionality! Allthough one thing is really bothering me. If I attach a picture nobody is able to open these attachments...The program sends them as mime format...

I thought 10.1 would have fixed it but....

Does anyone know a solution? Which email application would you recoomend right now?
 
I've been wondering the same thing.

I read my email on a UNIX machine, so I've never really cared before. But I'm setting up an email account for my wife, and she'll want to use the Mac. She doesn't need a lot of extra features, just something that works, and is easy to use.

So, what do people recommend?
