I tried to rename (Mail>Mailbox>Rename) a subfolder (call it Stuff) of Saved Mail in Mail 2.0.7 on my 17"FP iMac running 10.4.6. I put a space in front of the name to have it appear at the top of the list. It started then a window popped up saying there was an error trying to rename the folder. When I looked in Library>Mail>Mailboxes>Saved Mail, it had created an folder of Stuff with a partial subfolder. All the rest of the sub folders were still in the original Stuff, which, by the way lost its .mbox tag which I re-added in the Finder, but the content_index, Info.plist, table_of_contents, etc. were missing, so none of the subfolders appear in Mail. The folders and messages are all visible in the Finder, albeit named in a way that has no rhyme or reason to me so virtually unusable.

Is there a way to get Mail to create a new table of contents and the like that will make everything visible in Mail again? I've relaunched Mail, restarted the computer, ran Permissions and disk first aid. No joy.
