Mail hyperlinks stopped working

Suddenly a couple fo days ago.
Outgoing links aren't working, but they seem to function OK on the receive side.
I repaired permissions. No new apps other than an iPhone.

On my Mail app, 10.5.6, if I paste a url, then that does not become active until I have sent it, or stored it as a draft, or you can use Edit-Link-Add to insert the url. Can you try save message as draft then click on the message to see if link is active?
What OS are you running?
