Mail & Notes??

Every time since I upgraded to Snow Leopard , when I make a new note in Mail it appears in both my inbox & in my note box.

When I delete the note from my in box , it removes the same note in my Note box.

I have the preference pane for notes set : Create notes & to do`s in "Account of selected Mailbox".

Is there any way to stop a note from showing-up in my inbox---I only want them to appear in my note box.
