mail - 'recovered files' filling up the harddrive! help!

I tried to send a short i=phone video through mail back in April..it was too large for my service provider, apparently, but has now gammed up the harddrive and my computer started going slow. I then tried the time machine (1 terrabit hardrive had already filled up!) to take the computer back to the day before that fatefull one...didn't seem to do anything! Now have a 'time machine' recovered file and a 'recovered' one, which every time I delete just gets filled up again! And cannot find the original message...no preferences seem to be about to stop this never ending filling up. So I cannot use mail, basically.....please help! thank you

First open Mail and right click on the Mail box Inbox and select 'Get Account Info'. This way you can look into your ISP Mailbox and see if the message still resides there.
