Mail timecode is wrong...?

Can anyone tell me why the timecode (clock) in my friend's Mac Mail program shows the wrong time in her emails? Her Mac's clock is reading the correct local time but Mail seems to be locked to a completely different timezone.

Open System Preferences->Date & Time, time zone and make sure the location is correct. Sometimes this can get messed up by third party programs.
