Mailbox folders disappeared.

This error appears constantly on my TELUS IMap acct. I went into preferences to adjust my settings and all my mailbox folders disappeared. I didn't care about what was in my inbox , but I did not expect entire folders to disappear. I have pertinent job information data I really need to recover . How can I recover these? I would appreciate your help.
My mac is OS X 10.6.6

The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to Deleted Messages) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: Message creation failed; mailbox is full..
 
Your error message indicates that the size of your mail account (all your messages collectively) has reached the size limit that your ISP or mail account host allows.

Does your mail service or ISP offer a web-based method for logging into your email? If so, you may want to try that -- and also verify with your service provider how much space you're allowed.
