Ok, my mac G5 was working fine all morning. I went to open up a 400 meg file in photoshop cs2. Knowing it would take some time to open, I still decided to open it because I needed it for work. While opening the up the file. The computer froze. Nothing moved. I waited 25 minutes, and nothing but the mouse moved, but I couldnt cancel opening of the file. I restrted the mac, and it loaded up just fine, went through the normal start up screens, but after that it doesnt load up my desktop. I get the desktop photo, but no icons, not dock bar, no top menu bar and no folders. The only thing I get is in the upper right corner a small magnifying glass which when I move my mouse over to it, I get the rainbow ball. If I move the mouse away from the magnifying glass, the mosue cursor goes back to normal, but nothing happens. Nothing happens if I click on the magnifying glass either.
Any ideas?? I was working fine all morning, then boom. Please help if you could.
