I have two hard drives installed in a G4 Power Mac. Would someone please explain the master-slave settings for them, position on the IDE cable (?), options, or does it really matter? I recently upgraded the Tiger OS to v 10.4.8 plus upgraded some other Apple stuff and Firefox. Everything worked fine for a couple of days and then things went haywire! Right now, one of the hard drives, the one with OS 9.2, is not being recognized. Sometimes when I boot, nothing is recognized so I have to start over. Any ideas?
