maya 2009

I tried to download the latest version of Maya 2009 but my system mac osx version 10.4 won't allow to use this program. I am trying to eject this disc but it won't work it says that Maya 2009 is in use and try to quit applications before ejecting I have tried this but it won't work

Restart and then hold the eject button while its starting up, and if you miss that, you will still be able to eject after it boots up anyways. The system is probably accessing something on the disc and one of the annoying things about the finder is it wont tell you anything else besides that something is using it.
