does anyone know of ANY mirrors or 'alternative' sites for downloading the installer for Maya Personal Learning Edition? I have been trying to download it for 2 hours!!!

I need this file a LOT. ta for any help.

I don't know of any mirrors, but I will say this: It's not worth having. They've gone out of their way to make it the most difficult software to use. I love Maya and couldn't wait to get my hands on PLE. Big, big letdown.

in what way? I thought that it was almost the same except that it doesn't let you use it as a commercial bit of softweare

If you really want it, get iGetter. It lets you have a bazillion connections open at once, so you can download Maya PLE in a few minutes.

It won't run on my computer though, I need 256 megs of RAM to use it.

Just a heads up if you're below that.

iGetter can be found at http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/ne...c&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=MacOSX&search=iGetter. It's a great program to have.

Watermark on the final rendered image = sure
Maya PLE exlusive file format = OK
watermark on the GUI = BAAAAAAAH!
