I recently downloaded Alias|Wavefront's Maya Personal Learning Edition (after they finally posted a copy of it to iDisk). I discovered that many of the commands in Maya require the use of a three-button mouse with appropriate driver software. I have a TEN-button (count 'em) Kensington trackball, but none of those buttons seems to work properly as a middle button (what you need for a lot of Unix applications).

Does anyone know a workaround for this, or an available mouse/driver combination that will work as a middle mouse button?

I have an older turbo mouse and I just downloaded the kennsington mouse works driver I found on Versiontracker. Ran the program and assigned the buttons. I think middle mouse button is under other clicks or key click combinations or something like that on the pull down menu for each button. Also works well in Blender.
