Yesterday, my MBA was running slow and frequently locking up so I did a hard restart. Once the computer got to the gray Apple screen with the spinning wheel, it never progressed past that. I tried restarting again and this time did a PRAM reset. Now, shortly after hitting the Apple screen, the computer shut off.
I have a Superdrive so I pulled out my Snow Leopard install disc and tried to boot from that. I was given the option to boot from the SD, from the HD or via remote access so I chose the SD. And again, the computer just shut off before the disc could boot up.
Searching online, I found out about single-user mode and fsck. Every time I run fsck, I get the following message:
disk0s2: I/O error.

I've seen Disk Warrior mentioned a lot and I bought it but as I live in Japan, it will take a few weeks before the software arrives. They allowed me to download the Disk Warrior DMG but the problem with this is my back-up computer is a Windows XP laptop and I'm not sure if I can burn that to a DVD for my MacBook to run off.
Does anyone have any advice or at least know how I can put Disk Warrior onto a disc that Windows can burn?
