MBP Appropriate Temperature

Good morning,

I just installed the iStat Nano widget in my MBP 15'' Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz. Amongst other things, it displays the system temperature, which is currently at 32 Celsius. However, I do not know which is the appropriate temperature range for my system, so I cannot know which level should be an alert for me. Could someone inform me about the appropriate temp levels?

Moreover, I have ordered and expect soon the new MBP 15'' i7. Are the same temperature levels appropriate for all Mac machines, including my new MBP?

Thanks.

Temperature levels will depend on what you are doing at the time, the condition of your laptop, the present ambient temperature, and a variety of other minor factors. There's no 'range' that you can predict for a normal range.
As the temps go up, your cooling fan(s) should kick in, which would cool the system down.
My Macbook ranges from around 35 C to around 75 C. The fan runs full on at the high temps. When the ambient temp is higher, the laptop temp range will be higher, generally speaking.
If your laptop feels too hot for your comfort, then use a coolpad, or some similar product, or just point a fan directly into the laptop.
Don't use your laptop so that it runs on a soft surface, such as a blanket or sofa, or some other location that will not allow heat to escape easily.
I would expect the newer processors to run somewhat cooler under the same usage, as they are rated for less power consumption.
