I'd rather be fishin'
OK - I have been battling my MDD for the last several months. It started loosing the date/time settings when shut down (once a month or so).
I ordered a replacement battery - and it did not fix the problem (cheap battery). So I ordered a new one from OWC - and didn't think much about it.
I noticed the next time the computer was shut down that the subsequent reboot brought the date/time issue up again. The symptoms were hidden because of the machine being set to get date/time from network time server. With internet down for a few weeks, the problem was very obvious any time the computer was booted.
I have checked the battery polarity (installed correctly), the battery is showing the correct voltage, and all of my software is up to date.
Anyone have any suggestions?
