Menu bar disappears after sleep -any ideas?

I just got a replacement powerbook G4 550mhz from Apple - MacOS 10.1.3. Every time I wake it up from sleep, the menu bar disappears and I need to drag the cursor over it for the text to reappear again. It's as though it forgets to redraw that section after sleep.

Everything else works perfectly.


Any ideas?
