Mercury Messenger

I have just found this programme to instant message with and video conference. However, i cant seem to log in, do i need the original msn messenger running? It says Mercury was unable to sign you in because the connection with the msn server could not be established. Unable to reslove the hostname for messenger.hotmail....

i dont know if i am being stupid!! Are you able to helP

For video chat on a Mac, the only way to go is iChat or iChatav (depending on the OS you're using....
