HI all,
This place was so helpful when I had trouble with internet speed your reward is I ask ANOTHER stupid newbie question. You see, no good deed goes unpunished.
OK, I have two Macs. One laptop and one desktop. I will be buying a 3rd mini for permanent placement in my second home. I intend to stop transporting the laptop around and instead use a firewire external harddrive for both backup of my database and to transport between them so whenever I update the one I am working on I can update all of them equally.
Right now I have fairly similar database on the two Macs. But not identical. I have some songs in iTunes on each Mac that are not on the other Mac. The same is probably true of photos in iPhoto. And my other databases are not identical but they are far easier to figure out as I can just copy one to the other and it won't make 2 versions of everything in common.
Is there any way to synchronize the iPhoto and iTunes so that I end up with one copy of every mp3 and every photo on one computer for a start?
