Micro$oft Word X Question

I'm finishing up my thesis using M$ Word (because I have to - my advisor uses it) and I have a picture in it that I want to put in TextEdit. I keep getting an out of memory error when I attempt to copy and paste it into TextEdit. Eventually M$ Word crashed. I have 768MB of RAM and 355MB is FREE; I can't be out of memory. Does anyone know how to copy/export a picture (it's TIFF or JPG) from M$ Word to the desktop or another program?

From the Crash Log:

quick question... are you using the update and security build (2 updates really) and do you have any 3rd party multiple clipboard utils installed?

I'm using the newest update from Micro$oft, just installed it the other day: Service Release 1 combo update.

I'm not using (nor do I have) any 3rd party clipboards. Do you recommend any?

Try saving it as .rtf format and opening it in in TextEdit that way.... it should grab the photo as well... I have no time to test this theory, so if you've already tried this, disregard this message. ;)
