Microsoft Database Daemon-Entourage icon

I came into work this morning and while going to open something else from the recent items menu on my OS X machine I noticed something unfamiliar but curious all the same.

Does anyone know what the Microsoft Database Daemon is for? It has the same Icon as Entourage and it seems to have popped up over the weekend.

Any info would be appreciated.

The Database Daemon enables functioning of the Office Notifications feature.
What happens is, first you put some upcoming event in your Entourage calendar. Then if you include a reminder for the event, Office Notifications will launch a little window to remind you at the time you specify.
