microsoft entourage 2004

hello,

i was saving some files to disk yesterday to free space on my hard drive and today my laptop has a different interface for microsoft entourage and everything from my entourage calendar has been deleted. i did not download a new version of entourage. i have not lost any data from any other programs. would you know how i can retrieve what i have lost? i appreciate your help, in advance. i use mac os x on a macbook pro.

Entourage 2004 has six icons in the upper left-hand corner. Going across, they are Mail, Address Book and Calendar on the first row and Notes, Tasks, and Project Center on the second row. Click each icon enables a different mode of the application. You have access to only one mode at a time. Click Mail and see what happens.
 
Did you move or trash the Microsoft user data folder from your users/username/documents folder because that is where the Entourage database is stored? Find that folder and drop it back in your documents folder and all should be well again.
 
thanks for you reply. i don't use entourage for mail, only the calander. so mail is blank as it always has been and the calender has been wiped. it's as if entourage has been re-installed.
