Hi,
This relates to all users who have Microsoft Office 2001 on their computer and are running OS X: Ok, I have MS Word v.X, but I wanted to see how Word 2001 would run in Classic. So, I opened it up and I noticed that the icon didn't look like all the other Classic icons. This icon looked somewhat...carbonized. Did annybody else notice this and why??

The great iconists at iconfactory.com made those icons and they are yes, as you noticed, OS X compatible. They display perfectly in OS 9 as well as in OS X.

carbonized is the wrong term for newer icons. they also work in mac os 9, even when you deinstall all instances of CarbonLib. they're just icons with more different icon sizes. and yes, some companies started making new icons before updating their applications for Carbon compatibility.
